Is now the time to offer answers? Maybe for some; maybe not for others. For some, the best way to minister to them is just to weep with them. For others, it may be talking with them as they work through these issues. This blog is for those who are talking about it now, but will be here when those who are weeping now start asking questions later.
The reality of death is all around us, but it is not until it hits close at home that we really begin to ask the hard questions. Death is a part of life, and it is something that we all must eventually face. As uncomfortable as it may be, death is a subject that we need to talk about, and as Christians, we need to learn to talk about it well.
In this next series of blog post will we seek to address the following: Why Death? What Happens When We Die? How Should We Think of Our Death and the Death of Others? Talking to Your Kids About Death.
Before we get to some practical application, it is necessary that we talk theologically about death. Therefore, the first two posts will be mainly theological, while the last two will be more practical application on what has been developed. While I know that answering these questions never takes away the pain that people experience when confronted with death, it does point to the truth that is in Jesus, who is able to comfort us through our pain.
