Here is a two part article on presuppositional apologetics by John Frame. What is presuppositional apologetics? Where many Christians approach apologetics in an empirical way (knowledge acquired by observation), the presuppositional approach attacks the presuppositions that one has in interpreting the empirical. As John Frame says, "Presuppositional apologetics may be understood in the light of a distinction common in epistemology, or theory of knowledge. In any factual inquiry, it is important to distinguish between the ideas we have prior to the inquiry and those we gain in the course of the inquiry. No one, of course, embarks on an investigation with an empty mind. If indeed we had done no previous thinking, nothing would motivate us to seek further information."
